I haven't been able to open or gain access to cbs.log to find the corrupt files. And even by using the findstr string method or in following the exact entry, I tried, and it came back as saying not able to open cbs.log and then the second time or visa-versa, but it appeared on desktop just as instructed, but opened in Notepad with showing absolutely nothing, nada-zilch. I then wanted to see what they were in C: Windows Logs CBS CBS.log. I got as far as CBS.log, but Notepad opened & stated that I was denied access. I am the Administrator. How can I overcome this restriction?
I make use of a Windows vista Home Premium with sp2, My protection can be up to day. I ran the 'check disc'
last night and everything had been fine. Today I ran 'sfc /scannow' and it had been incapable to repair
2 damaged files it discovered. The files had been 'cbs.journal' with 10,274km and 'cbs.persist.journal'
with 51,248kw.

What are usually these 'cbslogs'? How did they obtain corrupted? How can I fix them (without going into the registry - if possible)? Should I end up being concerned? Can I safely remove them??
I was remorseful about all of the over queries - and - I do give thanks to you for all of your help.
CBS.journal is usually where the SFC shops the outcome of the check. You can look at it with this cmd order:
![Cbs.log Access Denied Cbs.log Access Denied](/uploads/1/2/4/8/124882478/964494129.png)
findstr /c:'SR' %windir%logscbscbs.sign
Right here it will be,
M:WindowsLogsCBSCBS.log
Open it in Notepad.
M:WindowsLogsCBSCBS.log
Open it in Notepad.
Give thanks to you - but I feel still asking yourself if they are important? How I can fix them? How did
they obtain corrupted? Can I just remove them?
